WEB DESIGN · INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE · VISUAL DESIGN
Making a student-driven learning and innovation environment easier to understand through a clear, visually cohesive website.
Independent web design and development for Digital Living Lab, including site architecture, responsive page layouts, custom iconography, graphics and photography.

Digital Living Lab brings together student projects, learning by developing, experimentation and collaboration with organizations. Visitors have different questions: what the lab does, how to join, what resources are available and who to contact. The design task was to connect those needs through understandable navigation.
I structured the website so visitors begin with orientation before finding more specific studies, development projects, resources, partners and contacts.
Introduce the student-driven learning environment and its purpose.
Make courses, projects and learning opportunities discoverable.
Provide pathways to equipment, partners, resources and contact information.
I designed custom icons, graphics and photography to make the web pages consistent and recognizable. The examples below represent three of the site's key themes.
The layout adapts from desktop to narrower screens while keeping the same content order. My priorities included clear headings, flexible media, readable typography, useful navigation and generous spacing rather than simply shrinking desktop layouts.

I implemented the site structure, pages, content and visual system, providing a consistent experience across the website. The live site is the deliverable; this case does not invent analytics gains or conversion measures.
